An .IIQ file is a raster image produced by a Phase One digital camera. IIQ is a camera raw format that features Intelligent Image Quality (IIQ) compression, which includes lossy and lossless compression. Additionally, it is based on the TIFF format, with support for color depths from 1 to 24-bit.

IIQ files are not widely supported, leading many users to convert them to more common formats, such as JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png), GIF (.gif), or BMP (.bmp). Additionally, uncompressed .iiq files are typically large, making it challenging to store and share them. Converting .iiq files to JPEG format is an excellent option to reduce their size. However, converting an IIQ image to a compressed format like JPEG will also reduce image quality. Instead, you can convert it to BMP or TIFF to retain a higher-quality image.
