A .dfont file contains a font used by macOS, the operating system for Macintosh computers. The DFONT format is an offshoot of the widely-supported TrueType font (.ttf) format. However, only macOS supports the DFONT format.

Because Windows and Linux do not support the DFONT format, you may want to convert your DFONT files to the TrueType or OpenType (.otf) format, which Windows and Linux do support. You can also convert DFONT files to raster image formats, such as JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png), if you want to view the fonts as images.
